This week my dear friend and colleague Mariah Grumet, founder of Old Soul Etiquette released her first book: What Do I Do? Every Wedding Etiquette Question Answered. I am so proud of Mariah for following her dreams and crushing huge goals (with a billboard in Times Square as the sprinkle on top!).
Of course, I was thrilled when I received a mystery package in the mail only to find it was an advanced reader copy of Mariah’s beautiful book. It was an honor to have a BTS look at how the process of writing a book unfolded for her, and to hold the finished product in my hands took my breath away! It is seriously that gorgeous!
Weddings are often the first time many of us begin to think about modern etiquette. There are so many decisions to make, details to manage, emotions to consider and an enormous amount of teamwork needed to pull off a memorable and meaningful day.
It’s hard to believe that my husband and I are coming up on our 10th Wedding Anniversary, but I can still clearly remember wishing there was a book out there to help guide us through the wedding planning process with ease and grace. I’m so glad Mariah has provided just that, with a modern twist and kind approach that will help any couple plan their dream wedding with confidence!

I love how the book is segmented into easy-to-navigate sections making it just as quick to reference as it is enjoyable to read the whole way through. From the pre-planning tasks of determining a budget and deciding on venues, to detailing post-wedding tasks that are often overlooked, engaged couples can rely on Mariah’s modern advice and guidance.
Etiquette Advice You Can Find In “What Do I Do?":
How to handle the opinions and ideas of family member who are financially contributing to the wedding, especially when those ideas don’t align with your own vision.
How to handle a challenging vendor and what to do if a vendor cancels at the last minute.
