A fabulous new quick service restaurant recently opened up in Ann Arbor, Michigan and with one look at the menu I knew I had to try it out the next time I was in town!
Toastique is a small, quick service franchise which can be found across the US. Toastique is known for its extravagant toasts, delicious bowls, fresh made juices and exquisite coffee. You can also find a ton of vegan options as well!
The bright, clean space is as relaxing as it is inspiring. The food itself is vibrant, full of texture and tastes amazing. You can tell everything is made with high quality ingredients and the presentation is done with care.
I stopped for lunch in the midst of an afternoon of shopping in downtown Ann Arbor. Toastique could not have found a better spot for their first location in Michigan. Right on the corner of 4th & Washington, there is convenient parking nearby and it is surrounded by some of my favorite boutiques. It’s the perfect spot to pop in for lunch, a juice or a coffee to go.
There were so many items on the menu I wanted to try! I ended up going with the signature Avocado Smash and enjoyed every bite. The smash is made to order and features house chili oil which really elevates the avocado. It was topped with watermelon radish, marinated tomatoes and microgreens.
ETIQUETTE TIP:
When it comes to speciality foods like gourmet toast, there’s not always a “correct” way to go about eating it. There are times when you just have to do your best and adjust accordingly. I decided to take on this toast using a fork and knife to cut small bites at a time, using continental style.
Even though it’s a quick service restaurant, I love that they still offer seasonal items. I went with a cranberry pear cold pressed juice which was light, refreshing and brimming with the flavors of winter citrus. It was such a treat! Toastique also offers a regular line up of cold-pressed juices which you can also take to go!
Overall, I really enjoyed my experience - even if I had to play nice with some college girls who were definitely laughing at finding an “influencer” in the wild! I used quotes because I certainly do not consider myself an influencer, especially not a food influencer at that! However, I do LOVE supporting women-owned businesses and will happily use what platform I do have to do just that!
Toastique was founded by Brianna Keefe, a former D1 College athlete, who took her love for nutrition and clean eating to the next level by sharing her recipes and following her own vision which lead her to opening Toastique! Brianna - you’ve done an amazing job and my wish for you is every success!
Each franchise is independently owned, and the Ann Arbor location is owned by a bright, bubbly and generous wife & mother. I had the opportunity to meet the owner, Candace, and she was so sweet! I am so glad Candace brought Toastique to Michigan!
Since I still had plenty of shopping to complete, I ordered a peppermint mocha latte to go. If you can keep a secret, I have to tell you it was so much better than those other peppermint mochas you may be used to ordering this time of year!
Toastique has locations across the country, so if there’s one near you, I highly recommend checking it out when you have a chance. With the holidays around the corner, it’s also worth knowing that you can order e-gift cards on their website. I would recommend $25-50 so that the gift receiver can purchase two full meals.
Toastique - thank you so much for having me! I’m looking forward to stopping in again soon!
